This post is a short review for Gerard Butler, Jim Sturgess, and Abbie Cornish's "Geostorm".
It comes in a time of unprecedented natural disaster impacting parts of the globe, "Geostorm" is a tasteless yet somewhat a guilty pleasure flick that is packed with often jarring and non-sensical plot idea. At least despite its obvious B-rated direction, it is still able to keep you on the motion for most of its running time.
You are half right to assume this as a typical disaster movie with exaggerated CGIs, and the other half of it is a mixed bag of politically-charged conspiracy theories and un-sound scientific discoveries (at the moment). This sci-fi action is not that all bad, but it is definitely an awkward one. 5/10.
