CASTING NEWS: COMPLETE LIST FOR HUGO CABRET

Martin Scorsese's next film is definitely the adaptation of The Invention of Hugo Cabret (now retitled as Hugo Cabret). The adaptation which based on the book of similar name by Brian Selznick, will tells the tale of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. When Hugo encounters a broken machine, an eccentric girl, and the cold, reserved man who runs the toy shop, he is caught up in a magical, mysterious adventure that could put all of his secrets in jeopardy.

While these days news regarding the living legendary movie-maker focuses more on the planned biopic of Frank Sinatra, which I think would be his next film after Hugo Cabret, there is still little news coming up for this production. If you read back the post here back in April, we already know that Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Chloe Moretz and Asa Butterfield are certainly in. However, the latest has that prolific names like Jude Law, Ray Winstone and Christopher Lee are also making their way into this movie too. Also making the casting for secondary roles: Helen McCrory, Frances de la Tour and Richard Griffiths. Read the roles of each of the casting members will be playing after the jump.

As far as we concerned, Asa Butterfield who has a satisfying performance in The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, will play the title role of Hugo Cabret. Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass and Let Me In) will take on the role of the eccentric girl as mentioned in the above description. Ben Kingsley will be the reserved man who runs the toy shop while Sacha Baron Cohen  plays an inspector who patrols the station. No details on what roles the other secondary casting will be playing.

Scorsese will direct Hugo Cabret from a script by John Logan (The Aviator) and it will be produced by Graham King (The Departed), Tim Headington (Edge of Darkness), Christi Dembrowski (The Rum Diary) and Johnny Depp. The movie will begin production on summer in 3D, expected to arrive in cinema
