My Verdict:
Green Tea says:

Disney is a brand name. A brand name known worldwide for their good track in production of quality and heart-warming family movie. However, this canine movie about a misadventure of some collection of lovable breed of dogs called Chihuahua, German Shepherd and so on is kind off a distorted one from the quality itself. Dogs are lovable and it should be the same for this kind of movie that tell a story of them. Yes this is a lovable movie but practically it was not a total excellent for Disney.

Assuming you are dumb and looking at the first impression by its poster and you don't care to read of its synopsis beforehand, you will be thinking that it is an Indiana Jones version for dogs. Unfortunately, the poster is one of the years' worst. Deceived? Probably. The casting of several big name like Jamie Lee Curtis and Drew Barrymore are rather disappointing. They do little to add to the movie itself. I personally think they were not impressive enough although having an international assemble cast of animals seem to be a cool idea. We have coyotes, iguana, rat and some pigeon installed for you.

The story itself is also lukewarm. There was not anything to laugh about but their jokes do work in certain time. The movie suffered so much from its poor screenplay. However, not everything is bad about the movie. For instance, the movie contains pretty witty dialogue. Plus, lovable animals will always be loved regardless of the quality and how trash it can be. The proof, despite a low rating by critics, it is still able to make much money from box office counter.

If you are expecting more from Chihuahua, better not. I would not said this movie is a total crap or trash. there are some great moment for enjoying this movie, but beware, you might find it difficult to give even a thumb and a half up. Talking animals are certainly not a fresh idea, while the stereotype of Chihuahua and a rich lifestyle seems hard to be separated. Good luck and try to enjoy.
