ENDAL, THE DOG OF THE MILLENIUM ON SILVER SCREEN

Touched after watching a TV documentary about Chief Petty Officer Allen Parton, producer Simon Brooks (White Noise) has acquired the rights to transform the story into a silver screen. The heartwarming story will tell about Parton, who after suffering head injuries in combat was assigned a charity-trained pedigree Labrador, Endal to help with his daily chores.

The real-life story of Endal can be amazingly been read here at Wikipedia by the way.

Brooks has asked
Juliette Towhidi (Calendar Girls) to write a screenplay, inspired by the Labrador and based on Allen parton and his wife's co-authored book, Endal: How One Extraordinary Dog Brought A Family Back From The Brink. The filming will starts next year.

Brooks was quoted as
"I was immediately attracted to this uplifting story of a man and his family who'd been dragged through hell before an extraordinary dog called Endal 'adopted' them and changed their lives forever."EO

Talking about another canine dimension, earlier this year, the audience found some tears weeping in yet another heartwarming true story of Marley and how it changes the life of a Floridan columnist.
Marley & Me, the movie as inspired by that true story and stars Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson did well in box office.
