The one man whom has been very busy these days was none other than Nicolas Cage himself. Recently, he and co-star Eva Mendes appeared for the annual gala of Venice Film Festival to promote around his latest movie - Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. However, the movie received less stelar publicity due to its controversial resemblance to 1992's Abel Ferrara's Bad Lieutenant.

Also in his hands are movies in which he has enrolled in – 3D action flick Drive Angry (as a grandfather), Kick-Ass and The Sorceror’s Apprentice.

Latest in his hectic planner, he signed on to star in The Hungry Rabbit Jump, a vigilante thriller to be directed by Roger Donaldson, produced by Jim Stern and script by Robert Tannen. The Hungry Rabbit Jumps will tell the story of a man seeking revenge and involved in an underground vigilante activities to avenge for the lost of his wife due to violent crime.

Tobey Maguire's Maguire Entertainment is producing, although the Spider-Man star is not expected to take a role, and shooting's due to start and finish before Cage begins work on Drive Angry in April.

On another front, Nicolas cage has announced his departure from the casting of The Green Hornet. In the earlier report, we are well-informed that besides Seth Rogen, the movie will also stars Jay Chou and Cameron Diaz. Nicolas departure won’t be felt much because it is believed that Columbia Picture has a Plan B in hand.

The Oscar winner has been in a string of good and lackluster movie. His credibility fall to all time low since his enrollment in Bangkok Dangerous last year produces nothing but a headache. Then this year he bounced back with Spring’s Knowing – a disaster movie with a different dynamic that proves to be a great thriller in hand. Well, Nicolas is a Coppola after all.
