SAW 7 IS THE LAST?

Saw VIImage via Wikipedia

It looks like many of us are getting our own nerves when the Saw franchise is allowed to continue to breathe the air that felts so moldy. Yes, the everlasting franchise that has so far spawned 7 films over the last 7 years (including the seventh one this year) has finally given some nails to seal its coffin. I mean, I need those nails badly.

Saw co-writer Patrick Melton has finally assured you that the seventh will in fact be the last. However, there are some major surprises too for Saw 7.

"We thought Saw VIII would be the last one," says Melton, "where we had the first trilogy and the second trilogy and then sort of a grand finale wrapped up in two films. But why make two movies when we can make one really excellent movie to wrap up? And it's going to be in 3-D which sort of adds to the spectacle."

"VII is going to incorporate all six films and wrap things up, that is the intent... If we're saying this is the end it should appropriately be the end and reach back to as far back in history as the films have gone."
