MATTHEW VAUGHN TO DIRECT X-MEN: FIRST CLASS AND KICK ASS 2 UPDATE

You see, Marvel already have The Avenger on the sight and DC may already have some plans on Justice League. It is just about the time to ring in another superhero collective flick. Also on Marvel Comics’ property, although not developed by the studio independently, X-Men: First Class will be developed by whom else if not 20th Century Fox. While all that make sense now, the studio has already announced Matthew Vaughn confirmed for the director seat.

On Heat Blog Vision, it was convincing enough for the studio to kick start works to make the superhero movie in time for arrival next year. With Matthew Vaughn onboard and a recent rewrite by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, the studio has set a sight on June 3, 2011 release. (That is like super fast!)

For X-Men: First Class, it will attempt to follow the early days of the X-Men, when both Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr were still friends and worked on some young mutants together to deal with some potential threat. Expect to see more drifting-away between the duo over certain issues later on.

I am honestly excited to see how Vaughn and producer Bryan Singer can pull some strings together on this one. Practically it was fun to see how Kick-Ass worked its way out although the box office has not been phenomenal.

On another front, Mark Millar will soon kicking off the sequel to Kick-Ass comic form, served as a basis for the next Kick-Ass movie sequel. Kick-Ass 2 will be entering the production next year for 2012’s release. Kick Ass 2: Balls To The Wall will be featuring darker elements and we shall see then! But of course, you cannot expect anything yet since director Matthew Vaughn will be very busy for these coming years.
