BOURNE LEGACY HAS TONY GILROY WRITING IT

Since the end of Paul Greengrass' amazing The Bourne Ultimatum, things look a bit shaky over the possibility for the next Bourne adventure. Greengrass is not in while Matt Damon who played the titular role of Jason Bourne, looks uncertain to reprise the role.

Deadline reported that Tony Gilroy, whom had worked on the scripts of all the past Bourne installments has been hired by Universal to write and direct the fourth Bourne film, tentatively known as The Bourne Legacy. Rumours like this has run since the end of The Bourne Ultimatum and star Matt Damon previously speculated that the next film might be a prequel and as this current situation, the prequel possibility is still possible after all. After all, it's official now that the fourth Bourne is going to happen.

At this point, Deadline mentioned that the Gilroy's treatment on the fourth film will not have any much association with 2005 book by Eric Van Lustbander, who wrote the fourth book following the death of Robert Ludlum. Universal's decision to patch in Gilroy heavily suggested that the new film is nowhere anyway near the option of dreadful reboot.

So, my question here is, do we need another Bourne movie? I thought the ending of The Bourne Ultimatum is already loud banging and hysterical enough to close the franchise? What do you think?
