Three trailers arrived online today. First of all we have Tangled, an upcoming animation that features the adaptation of the classic Rapunzel with a lot addition of some elements from Pirates of the Caribbean.
Plot-wise; When the kingdom's most wanted and most charming bandit, Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi), hides out in a mysterious tower, he's taken hostage by Rapunzel (Mandy Moore), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn's curious captor, who's looking for her ticket out of the tower where she's been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo set off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs. The animation will arrives this November 24 in US and November 25 in Malaysia.
More trailers after the jump.
Next, we have a thriller of some sort combining the talent casting of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. Directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, The Tourist is opening soon on December 10 in USA while will making its visit in Malaysia three weeks later on December 30 here.
Johnny Depp stars as an American tourist whose playful dalliance with a stranger leads to a web of intrigue, romance and danger in The Tourist. During an impromptu trip to Europe to mend a broken heart, Frank (Depp) unexpectedly finds himself in a flirtatious encounter with Elise (Angelina Jolie), an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path. Against the breathtaking backdrop of Paris and Venice, their whirlwind romance quickly evolves as they find themselves unwittingly thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse. Catch the trailer below:
Lastly, we have the trailer for the movie The Fighter, one of those contender (early one) for the upcoming Oscar. The Fighter supposedly picks up a real story and stars the mighty combination of Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg, and as well as Amy Adams while David O Russell directs.
The Fighter tells the story of Boston fighter "Irish" Mickey Ward and how he was helped to the world lightweight championship by half-brother Dicky Eklund. Eklund once decked Sugar Ray Leonard and went the distance against the boxing legend before forfeiting his career to drugs and crime. He redeemed himself by training Ward through his Rocky-like run to the title.
