Once upon a time, we love how the characters and story of Monsters Inc been rolled out. Those were the early years when Pixar has started to go into the scene seriously and oh boy, things got better each time they rolled out something. Now, this will be the third franchise established at Pixar. After Toy story and Cars have been given franchise to roll on, it is time now for Mike (Billy Crystal) and Sully (John Goodmen) to get the same too.
Last week, Disney and Pixar announced that the second Monsters, Inc will be a prequel named Monsters University, which will show how both beloved characters to acquittance to each other during their degree years. The premise is as simple as this: "A look at the relationship between Mike and Sulley during their days at the University of Fear -- when they weren't necessarily the best of friends."
It will be directed by Dan Scanlon, whom has been involved with various projects at Pixar. He was the director of the Cars short Mater and the Ghostlight and a story artist on Cars and Toy Story 3. To celebrate the announcement, The Pixar Blog found this logo for the 2012 film.
Nice? Monsters University is set for release on November 2, 2012. Crystal and Goodmen will be returning to voice the characters.
