Doug Liman has plenty of projects to choose for, but ultimately he may have choose Luna to become his next movie. Yes, the once potential director to helm Wolverine sequel is now set to head to the moon for the next movie project. According to Slash Film, Luna is a space heist thriller that "centers on a group of former space employees who steal equipment in order to illegally head into space for a new energy source. Things get complicated, however, when they decide to kidnap a NASA employee."
Slash Film reported that the movie is now been set up at Paramount Pictures, with Skydance Pictures and New Regency are financing the movie. Simon Kinberg is detailing the script. Assuming various reports, the title Luna may not be permanent, in which Liman has been attached to direct since the year 2007. Slash Film also believed that "Liman was meeting with Garfield, Chris Pine and Emile Hirsch for male roles and Rosario Dawson, Megan Fox, Rachel McAdams, Eva Mendes, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde for female roles."
It seems viable that now Luna or what ever the name may end up in the future, is joining a foray of space adventure films in the making. Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity, Joseph Kosinski's Oblivion and Ridley Scott's Prometheus are some of the potential rivals that have been lined up currently for release in the future.
