NEW PROMO PHOTO FROM THE HOBBIT NOW SHOWS OIN AND GLOIN


If you followed Green Tea Movie yesterday, you will know that we have featured one-piece promo photo from Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey which revealed the concept arts of the three dwarf-brothers Nori, Ori and Dori. Today, Yahoo Movie and Coming Soon has follow up our impressive image preview by revealing another one-piece promo picture that features another dwarf-brothers; this time Oin and Gloin. Head on after the jump to view the promo photo.

New Line Cinemas and MGM have released the promo photo of Oin and Gloin which you can view below:

Oin and Gloin are played by John Callen and Peter Hambleton respectively. According to official description provided:
"Distant cousins of Thorin Oakenshield, these two doughty Northern Dwarves join the Company out of a sense of loyalty to their kin, and also because they have a substantial sum of money invested in the venture. Along with Bombur, Gloin is the only other married Dwarf in the Company (there being a shortage of female dwarves in general). His wife is an acclaimed beauty with a particularly fine beard. Gloin is the proud father of a young son, Gimli, who will go on to become part of the famous Fellowship of the Ring."

In The Hobbit, a total of 13 dwarfs will be appearing - namely Fili, Kili, Oin, Gloin, Thorin Oakenshield, Dwalin, Balin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Dori, Nori, and Ori. Here is the list of those portraying them (beware, it will be a quite a long list):
  • Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield (The leader of the Company of Dwarves who have set out to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from Smaug the dragon)
  • Graham McTavish as Dwalin and Ken Scott as Balin (brothers)
  • Aidan Turner as Kili and Dean O'Gorman as Fili (brothers, nephews of Thorin)
  • Jed Brophy, Adam Brown and Mark Hadlow as Nori, Ori and Dori respectively
  • Peter Hambleton as Gloin (father of Gimli in the Lord of the Rings trilogy) and John Callen as Oin (brothers)
  • William Kircher as Bifur
  • James Nesbitt as Bofur and Stephen Hunter as Bombur (brothers and cousins of Bifur)
