The first of the many trailers debuting this week during the Super Bowl event in the United States is the trailer for the upcoming sequel to the Paramount-Hasbro's G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The trailer will be available right after the jump.
The movie had plenty of skepticism running around following a disappointing first entry back in 2009. Now, Paramount Pictures offers a slated different tone to the movie with a change in director (John Chu takes over from Stephen Sommer) and new ensemble of casting (Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Ray Stevenson, Adrianne Palicki and Elodie Young) along with Channing Tatum, Ray Park and Byung-hun Lee. Looks like with this latest change along with the impressive first official trailer back in December, G.I. Joe: Retaliation will definitely reverse any doubts attached.
In the sequel, "Cobra Commander (no longer played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is now the masked leader of the terrorist organization, and his crony, master of disguise Zartan (Arnold Vosloo), has infiltrated the highest echelon of the U.S. government, posing as the president. With Cobra pulling the strings of power, and still running lawless throughout the globe, a new Joe force is tasked with saving the day." (ScreenRant)
G.I. Joe: Retaliation will be in US theaters on June 29, 2012 and expect it to arrive here in Malaysia on the same day or week.
