COMIC-CON UPDATES
#1: FIRST LOOK OF Q IN SKYFALL
Like M, Q is just another one-letter-fictional character in the MI6 that has been appearing in countless James Bond movies over the years. In case you are wondering why you have not seen Q in the last two movies helmed by Daniel Craig, the reason is that Q was not cast in those two movies yet - Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. Typically, Q is an older gentleman who develops weaponry for 007 and the name itself is a standing for Quartermaster. In Skyfall, however, Q will be played by a young actor Ben Whishaw and his first look in that movie made its way in the net today.

Ben Whishaw is not a household actor in our land yet but any indie-goers may recognized him from Perfume or Layer Cake. He is also set to appear in Wachowski's upcoming ambitious project Cloud Atlas (set for release end of this year). Tell me how you feel about Q in this picture besides been looking younger than Craig.
Skyfall opens on November 1 here; starring Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney, Berenice Malohe and Naomie Harris. Sam Mendes directs.
#2: CHRONICLE'S JOSH TRANK WILL DIRECT FANTASTIC FOUR REBOOT FOR FOX
Fresh from his success directing the superhero found-footage movie Chronicle (Green Tea Movie has some generous word of critics for that film) earlier this year, director Josh Trank has already going up steadily in the Hollywood. At the age of only 27, Trank has already caught plenty of attentions from various Hollywood studios. News has just came official as 20th Century Fox officially picked him to direct the planned Fantastic Four reboot, previously noted that Trank has began developing.
It is understood that Fox was indeed interested to develop Fantastic Four as their next Marvel properties to be developed for movie adaptation following The Wolverine and X-Men: First Class 2. This is most likely due to the reversion of rights from their hand back to Marvel if they do not go for it in the next two years or so. The new Fantastic Four reboot will have new cast and new story to go along. This means Chris Evans will definitely not donning up as Human Torch again - well, he is good enough for Captain America for now.
#3: UNIVERSAL GIVES THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS A RELEASE DATE
After much of delay, Universal Pictures has finally landed a release date for The Man with the Iron Fists. It will hit the cinemas on November 2 in the United States, but no words on the release date for Malaysia at the moment. The action-adventure, presented by Quentin Tarantino, is inspired by kung-fu classics as interpreted by his longtime collaborators RZA and Eli Roth. The plot synopsis is as follows:
Since his arrival in China's Jungle Village, the town's blacksmith (RZA) has been forced by radical tribal factions to create elaborate tools of destruction. When the clans' brewing war boils over, the stranger channels an ancient energy to transform himself into a human weapon. As he fights alongside iconic heroes and against soulless villains, one man must harness this power to become savior of his adopted people.
Besides the Wu-Tang clan frontman, the movie also starring Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, among others. Check out the red-band trailer below:
